Monadnock SX series straight baton uses a pin and spring to create a mechanical (or positive locking) mechanism that keeps the baton open and makes it easy to close. They have increased “knock-down” effectiveness due to our innovative weight forward shaft technology. MX batons feature a small grip diameter for better concealment and comfort.
When opening the baton the Pin and Spring locking action provides the revolutionary mechanism for locking the solid reinforced epoxy shaft in place. To close the exposed pin is pushed down to allow the shaft to unlock and retract back into the fame
The Monadnock Expandable SX series 24" Two-stage positive lock baton has a firm foam grip integrated into a 1.25 inch (3.18 cm) diameter aluminum frame, which has a black anodized finish.
